HOUSTON -- Lamar Miller led the way when the Houston Texans finally got the ball moving late Sunday night. Now, he and the Texans just have to work on getting going before the games final minutes.Miller scored two touchdowns and his 10-yard catch-and-run TD in the fourth quarter helped Houston cut a 14-point deficit to tie the game and force overtime. The Texans got a field goal in OT to beat the Indianapolis Colts 26-23.Lamar was offensively one of the big differences in the game, coach Bill OBrien said. He just kept at it, hes a heck of a football player and he had a good night.Miller finished with a season-high 149 yards rushing and added 29 yards receiving.Houston (4-2) trailed 23-9 when he took a short pass from Brock Osweiler and cut one way before running into three defenders changing direction and evading four more Colts on his way to the end zone.I was just trying to make a play for this team, he said. I knew we were down two scores so once Brock got the ball in my hands, I was just trying to make a play. His first touchdown was a 1-yard run in the third quarter that was his first as a Texan.Osweiler threw another TD pass moments after Millers catch-and-run, and then Nick Novaks 33-yard field goal gave Houston the win in overtime.Millers teammates raved about his performance.Lamar ran his tail off tonight, left tackle Duane Brown said. We knew it wasnt going to be that easy early on, but we just wanted to keep chipping away at it, and eventually we could break open some big runs. We were able to that.Miller was especially effective after halftime when he piled up 83 yards rushing. We felt like he was the guy throughout the game that was probably playing the best on offense, so at halftime we said, `Look, weve got to keep finding ways to get this guy the ball, OBrien said. Some things we learned from Houstons overtime win against Indianapolis.CLOSE CALLS: Three of the four losses by Indianapolis (2-4) have come by four points or fewer, leaving coach Chuck Pagano looking for things his team can do to close out close games. Its right there, he said. You cannot leave points out on the field. Youve got to be able to score touchdowns, and you cant settle for field goals ... you cant have penalties, you cant have poor play.CLOWNEY KEEPS CONTRIBUTING: Houstons Jadeveon Clowney, who was the top overall pick in the 2014 draft, continues to contribute in his first healthy season after struggling to stay in the field in his first two years in the NFL. He finished with four tackles and two quarterback hits on Sunday in his sixth straight start after not playing more than four straight games in his first two seasons.Hes very disruptive, OBrien said. I really think that hes coming into his own. People ask me a lot about moving positions; he plays all over the front ... hes a very difficult guy to block.TOUGH LUCK: Colts quarterback Andrew Luck had 252 yards passing with a touchdown and ran for 53 yards and another score, but was unable to move the offense in overtime. Luck, who had been sacked an NFL-most 20 times entering Sundays game, was sacked three times against the Texans, including one by Benardrick McKinney to force a punt in overtime. If you have the opportunity in this league, you have to put people away, he said. Its too hard to win games when youre surviving your mistakes. We had our opportunities ... (the Texans) did what they needed to do to win a game -- we didnt.STRONG CATCH: Houston receiver Jaelen Strong didnt have a reception in regulation but had perhaps the biggest catch of the night when he hauled in a 36-yard reception in overtime that set up the winning field goal. Strong, who is in his second season, has had limited playing time this year with the emergence of rookie first-round pick Will Fuller. But with Fuller managing a hamstring injury, Strong came through with the big grab.He just kept fighting, Osweiler said. He kept doing his job, and Im so proud of his effort.---AP NFL website: www.pro32.ap.org and www.twitter.com/AP-NFLWholesale Nike Air Vapormax . MADRID -- Cristiano Ronaldo hopes Real Madrid learned its lesson after almost losing at home to Sporting Lisbon in its Champions League opener.Madrids late comeback on Wednesday night gave the defending champions a winning start in the group stage, but the teams disappointing performance at Santiago Bernabeu Stadium raised some concerns.Ronaldo grabbed an 89th-minute equalizer with a superb free kick, and substitute Alvaro Morata netted the winner with a powerful header four minutes into injury time for a 2-1 win over the Portuguese side with which Ronaldo started his career. This game serves as a warning that we cant be starting games so poorly, Ronaldo said. Because teams will sweep the floor with us and we dont want that. We want to finish top of the group and win.The Spanish powerhouse struggled throughout, failing to create significant scoring opportunities and unable to keep Sporting from threatening on counterattacks. Madrid entered the game heavily favored to win but it was Sporting which was mostly in control at the Bernabeu. We were a bit flat at the start, but such is football and such is Real Madrid, and the comebacks are part of this mythical stadium, said Ronaldo, who made his 350th appearance for Madrid. The Portugal forward put his team back in the game by curling a right-footed shot over the leaping wall and into the top corner. Sporting goalkeeper Rui Patricio got his hand to the ball but it went off the post and across the line. Ronaldo didnt celebrate the goal against his former club, except for putting his hands in the air.It was against the team where I learned my trade, the club has a place in my heart, Ronaldo said of Sporting. I have a lot of respect for them, thats whhy I couldnt celebrate it.ddddddddddddMadrid is trying to become the first team to win back-to-back Champions League titles in 26 years. After one game, it is tied with Borussia Dortmund atop Group F with three points, but trails on goal difference because Dortmund routed Legia Warsaw 6-0.Well analyze the aspects that I didnt like, Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane said. What I do know is that we can perform better than we did. We came up against a team that played their game and made it difficult for us. This is the Champions League and nothing is easy in football. There are no easy games. The comeback came after Zidane made some key changes, adding substitutes Lucas Vazquez, Alvaro Morata, and James Rodriguez. The team improved significantly, with the winner being scored by Morata after a cross by Rodriguez. It was the first time this season Madrid played with the attacking trio of Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, and Karim Benzema in the starting lineup.Zidane said the hard-fought victory should boost the teams confidence going forward. When you win a game in this manner it means a lot to the squad, Zidane said. Thats what I take away with me and I go home with a smile on my face and feeling very relaxed. We cant win all of our games 5-0. We had to dig in, but we got the three points.Madrids next Champions League game is at Dortmund on Sept. 27. It plays at Espanyol on Sunday in the Spanish league, a competition it leads with three wins from three rounds.---Tales Azzoni on Twitter: http://twitter.com/tazzoni.
