e Ravens. After losing in the wild-card round to the Los Angeles Chargers Lamar Jackson Jersey White , the Ravens’ attention has turned to free agency and the 2019 NFL Draft. They currently hold the 22nd overall pick, and they could conceivably go in several different directions. Unlike last year, Baltimore has a couple of dire needs on both sides of the ball. In order to return to the post-season, they will need to upgrade at these four positions:1a. Free safetyDon Martindale had a fantastic first year as the team’s defensive coordinator. He utilized the Ravens’ defensive talent perfectly by finding the proper balance of aggressiveness. Baltimore was one of the most blitz-heavy teams in the NFL, and it worked in their favor for a majority of the year. However, Martindale was severely limited by his safeties — Eric Weddle and Tony Jefferson. Neither player is as versatile as Martindale’s system requires of the safety position. Given their wide variety of schemes and disguises https://www.theravenslockerroom.com/authentic-lamar-jackson-jersey , Baltimore needs their starting safeties to be able to operate well in single-high looks and two-high looks as well as closer to the line of scrimmage. While Weddle may have exhibited that ability earlier in his career, the 2018 season showed he is not the player he once was. On the other side, Tony Jefferson has never been an adequate deep coverage safety. He operates best in a hybrid role on nickel and dime packages, but Baltimore did not have the personnel to allow him to do that. None of the safeties on their roster possess both skills, which leads to free safety being tied for their top need in the offseason. Dream prospect: Nasir Adderley Day two match: Chauncey Gardner-Johnson1b. Interior offensive lineCenter and left guard were the weak point of the offensive line for the entire 2018 season. Whether it was Alex Lewis, Bradley Bozeman Womens Mark Andrews Jersey , or James Hurst, the Ravens were unable to find stability at that position. The only hope for an in-house promotion that could fill this need would be Bozeman, which is a possibility, but that would still leave a hole at center. Matt Skura had an inconsistent 2018 campaign, and although his adjustment to the ‘power scheme’ was encouraging, he did not show enough to give Baltimore a reason to not upgrade at this position. There are several intriguing center/guard prospects in the upcoming draft class that could allow the Ravens to upgrade their offensive line and protect Lamar Jackson. Dream prospect: Chris LindstromDay two match: Michael Deiter3. Wide receiverIt seems as if every offseason the Ravens need a wide receiver or two Mark Andrews Jersey White , and this year is not any different. After signing three wide receivers via free agency and selecting two in the 2018 Draft, Baltimore finds themselves, again, with uncertainty at this position. John Brown is set to be a free agent, while Michael Crabtree could be a cap casualty. Willie Snead is an excellent complementary wide receiver, but he does not possess the skillset to be an ‘X’ receiver.Despite making the 53-man roster https://www.theravenslockerroom.com/authentic-mark-andrews-jersey , Jordan Lasley did not appear in a single game this season, and his development could be a slow process. Jaleel Scott is also an unknown as he was placed on injured reserve during the preseason. It would be hard to imagine the Ravens not selecting a wide receiver in the upcoming draft. Dream prospect: Kelvin HarmonDay two match: Antoine Wesley4. EdgeThe Ravens must have thought they addressed their need at outside linebacker two years ago by selecting Tyus Bowser and Tim Williams. However, neither player has shown they are ready for a significant increase in snaps. Za’Darius Smith is set to hit free agency, and he could be due for a big payday given his versatility and production. Although Terrell Suggs has expressed interest in finishing his career with the Ravens, he is a free agent and age must be considered. This is one of the more important positions in the modern-day NFL, and Baltimore needs to consider all of their options.Dream prospect: Jachai PoliteDay two prospect: D’Andre WalkerKeep an eye on: Carl Granderson**In-depth scouting reports will begin next week and will start with these nine prospects News & Notes 8/13: Confident Jaleel Scott Is Making Plays - Ryan MinkNow Scott is one of the Ravens’ most improved players.
